Sasquatch
Was one of our all time favorite dogs-Rescued from an in trouble breeding situation in Texas when she was 8 months old- Nathan drove from Washington State to Texas and straight back with 4 Malamutes in trouble and Sasquatch was one of them -We placed her many times and she always ended up back at our door step-We got where we almost expected a call after about 3 days. She just could not adjust to other homes due to her experiences she encountered the 1st 8 months of her life--She was forever messed up and only was comfortable at our place-For some reason she felt safe here-She loved us and we her and we looked beyond her character defects- She stayed with us until she died-
She will live in our memories as one of our best buddies ever -She shared our couch- our bed and we loved her and she loved us until she took her last breath & she passed-
Through love and stability she grew to have confidence and she was thought of as Grizzly's wife they were inseparable where Grizzy was there was Sasquatch and the other way around - Grizzly was the confidence she did not have-He held her up where she was weak and they were true friends to the end-

SO YOU ARE THINKING OF BREEDING?
----------------
Breeding is a huge responsibility. We want to make you aware of some things that we feel make a responsible breeder. One of the things we recommend to newcomers to the breed, that own a puppy or young adult is to enjoy your life with the Alaskan Malamute for awhile.Get to know the breed,go to shows dog pulls ,sled races or any events where Alaskan Malamutes are present.Watch and talk to the Alaskan Malamute owners , breeders and sportsman of the breed. If you are going to breed then you will be an ambassador for the breed. You will be mating dogs that for all intensive purposes will make the Alaskan Malamutes a proud and nobel breed for generations to come. You also must keep in mind that your puppy may not grow up to be an ideal adult that would be a good example of the breed to carry on the best possible lines. If you want to breed to make a little extra money then you will be sadly dissapointed when you find out that usually most responsible breeders rarely make any money when it all comes out in the wash.Chances are very good that you will be in the red.So why do people do it?The love of the dogs and the breed and the betterment of the breed have to be the bottom line.
By being a breeder you will be responsible where those puppies go.Are you prepared to take those puppies back as teenagers or adults because it just didn't work out. Will you be prepared to uphold a guarantee? Are you prepared to keep the puppies if they do not sell? There are hundreds of difficulties that can arise and you have to be prepared for them all.It is not all peaches and cream as the saying goes.
We also realize that once long ago we ,we had a dream and desire to breed also.We learned and we have made mistakes along the way.Although for us breeding has many rewards along the way,it's also had many sacrifices along with hardships and dissapointments.Knowing what we know now,if we would have the opportunity to go back,-would we do it again? To be honest part of us would say no way,but then another part of us would say yes.
As breeders we will have to screen you not only as responsible Alaskan Malamute owners, but also if you plan to breed we will have to screen your intentions to breed. We owe it to our babies to have the best possible life.If they are not going to get that it would be better not to bring them into this life. There are to many neglected and mistreated animals in the world that need homes and love already.
---------
We hope that you will be honest and soul search before you take on the huge responsibility of breeding
For the sake of the breed and the dogs-
If you are interested in the possibility of purchasing one of our puppies with the right to breed - Please contact us and we can discuss that option in more detail over the phone.
After we gather more information we will then make our decision from there.
